Start with the match
Check that the product name and lot number on the report match the material you are reviewing. A report for a different batch should not be treated as evidence for the batch in hand.
Read the methods and results together
Look for the test method, units, reported result, and any stated acceptance criteria. A single percentage does not explain every property of a material. Review what was measured and what was outside the report’s scope.
Check the document’s origin
Look for the issuing laboratory, report identifier, test date, and authorization. Resolve missing or unclear information with the supplier or issuing laboratory before relying on the document.
Keep the original
Retain the original report alongside your internal records. This article is a guide to reading documentation, not a Certificate of Analysis or a statement of Wyz Labs testing results.
